Conceptual mind-body techniques-
These are a series of techniques that involve the use of the physical plus mental techniques that are touted to help with chronic pain. These include Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), being a form of psychological acupressure. Tapping specific meridians on the head and chest with the fingertips is used to “transfer kinetic energy” while you think about your problems and vocalize positive affirmations. Theoretically this works to clear the “short circuit” or emotional block, from the body’s bioenergy system, thus restoring body’s balance that essential for optimal health and physical disease healing.
