HOW ALGOS WORKS:

  1. Address 13618 W Hillsborough Rd, Tampa FL 33635.  No insurances accepted, including Medicare or Medicaid are accepted as payment since we use non-Medicare approved techniques.  Since we cut out the interference of the insurers in defining what care you deserve, insurers cannot deny your medical care nor direct your medical treatment to enhance their profits. We accept patients regardless of your age from 18 to 104

  2. Read about the services we offer on this website.  These are constantly being updated as new technologies and services are added.

  3. Select the service you need on our scheduling tab on the menu.  Payment is made securely online (SSL) at the time of scheduling using a debit or credit card.  Note: the "https" on the URL above.  If you don't have a debit or credit card, a temporary card may be obtained at Walgreens or Walmart.

  4. You will receive a text message reminder if you so elect and the physician will be notified of the visit and placed on the calendar.

  5. Health questionnaires (brief), forms, and consents are all filled out on-line prior to the visit.

  6. Same evening appointments are available.  Weekend appointments are available.  Urgent appointments are available.

  7. Our list of offered therapies are in the tabs above.

  8. The cost of treatment is $100 for each 15 minutes scheduled time plus costs of disposables/injection medications and supplies (most have minimal costs).  This is much lower than most physician offices charge and is 1/10 to 1/100 the charges of a emergency room, surgery center, or hospital.  Buprenorphine/suboxone treatments costs $125 per month and includes the cost of random drug screening, PMP evaluation, and completion of federal forms necessary for treatment.  Marijuana recommendations cost $125 to cover the time necessary to complete federal forms and office visits are every 60-70 days.  Payments are all online via SSL website at the time of scheduling.  No cash is accepted.

  9. Most visits are 15 minute visits.  Thirty minute visits are available scheduled in advance for extensive discussion regarding diagnosis or treatment.

  10. Radiation exposure is minimalized and most have no radiation exposure at all at Algos unlike most traditional pain clinics

What You Avoid at Algos:

  • Thousand dollar hospital bills for a simple treatment of acute pain

  • Surgery center and hospital astronomical costs for injections generating large bills for patients

  • Addiction and death due to uncontrolled physician prescribing of high potency opioids [Algos uses Schedule III-V opioids for chronic non-malignant pain treatment with Schedule II opioids (e.g. morphine, hydrocodone, oxymorphone, oxycodone, fentanyl, etc) reserved for cancer pain].

  • Insurance companies taking days to weeks approving (or disapproving) treatments while you suffer

  • Doctors that cannot see you for weeks when you need treatment now

  • Taking time off of work to sit for hours in doctors waiting rooms filled with people and infectious disease exposure- we run on a schedule, and see one patient at a time.  You will not find a waiting room full of people in our practice.

  • Routine daily or weekly visits for substance abuse treatment of prescription opioids or heroin

  • Having your diagnosis and treatment given by anyone other than a physician.  At Algos you are paying for quality care from those with the highest education and training.

  • Avoiding doctors or midlevels that neither explain what is wrong with you nor offer you any resources.  We have created a massive website with monographs that covers all areas of pain throughout the entire body.

  • Not being part of a mill.  You are an individual patient with individual needs.

  • Being boxed in by insurance as to what treatments are excluded.  We offer a wide array of traditional and non-traditional treatments

  • Fighting with insurance for months to years after treatment to get them to cover benefits

  • Being sandwiched between the physician and insurance company for payment

*****NO LONGER ACCEPTING PATIENTS AS OF JUNE 8, 2018*****

OUR OFFICE IS PERMANENTLY CLOSED

We have attempted to reach all patients by test, email or phone with important information and most were contacted.  However, some did not have working mobile phones or did not respond to emails or texts.  If you are a patient that was unreachable, then a partial prescription will be called into the last pharmacy where you filled the prescriptions that will last until I am again available August 11, 2018.  You must complete the survey under the Scheduling Tab to have a subsequent final prescription plus one refill issued to you while you locate another physician to prescribe.

Our office has closed because the physician has elected to go another career direction with an employment position that has highly variable hours of work, making scheduling clinic time to be impossible.
